Scrapbookit Class

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today.
It's my turn today over on the Scrapbookit blog today and I'd like to share with you a layout that I created for a class at the Scrapbookit Retreat this weekend....

For this layout we used any thick printed paper as our base, loads of gesso and some Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Sprays...

Loads of texture was created with gel medium and the fabulous Scrap FX chevron small stencil.  We also used a Doodad and Picture Perfect Memories from Scrap FX...

We also had a play with the Scrap FX Seed Stem stamp and the Darkroom door French script stamp...

To finish off our layout we used some Kaisercraft roses, a gorgeous doily and some cotton thread.... Remember all these great products you can get from Jo over at Scrapbookit...

Well that's it from me today, thanks Jo for having me teach at your retreat... a great weekend

Your Daily Dose

Hi everyone, so glad you can join me today,

Today was my turn to share over on PTT presents Your Daily Dose, so here's my little bit of inspiration...

I wanted to share an acrylic scrapping layout I created to hopefully get your creative mojo flowing.... I love creating with different mediums for my layouts, and Clear Scraps have created these great acrylic shapes that you can use to create your layouts on....they are so much fun...

I coloured the acrylic with some alcohol inks for a subtle colour and pattern effect

I used Scrap FX chipboard embellishments and words coloured with Smooch
and added some Film Strip Ribbon from Ideaology

Some metal cogs added to the Scrap FX movie camera give it a realistic 3D look

Memories

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
it's my turn again over on the Scrap FX blog and I have fun layout to share with you all ...

I had loads of fun creating this layout.... lots of messy fun creating the background with plenty of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, gesso and gel medium...

I used my favourite Scrap FX chicken wire on this layout and the wonderful Melting Clock.  These chipboard pieces were covered using a couple of different Lindy's Stamp Gang  embossing powders.

I also used the Scrap FX Gates Stamp to create even more texture....

I created loads of texture using the Scrap FX Chevron stencil (one of my old fav's)...

A Scrap FX Doodad chopped into two pieces helped to embellish the page along with some flowers and a Flourish with a Bling Chloe pearl flourish....

Let the Good Times Roll

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today.
It's my turn today over on the Scrapbookit blog today and I'd like to share with you a layout I have created with the March challenge in mind.... the challenge was set for us this month by Guest Design Team Member, Mary Bennetts.  Mary has set a great challenge for us; it is to create a layout using texture, layers and a title using a song or quote, and some stamping.

Following Mary's challenge brief this is the layout I came up....

I created my layers using the gorgeous Graphic 45 Couture Collection (Stunning,Gorgeous and Classy)

to further enhance the layering of the photo I included a tag and doily....
to give the photo a little extra pizzaz I used some fashion trim bling from Sullivans....
Here you can also see a close up of the stamping on the Green Tara paper petals, and some of the texture I created with the Scrap FX Petal Pattern Stencil and modelling paste...

I followed along with the brief finding this great Scrap FX title "Let the Good Times Roll" the perfect song title to go with my photo!!
This close up shows more of the texture created with the modelling paste and Petal Pattern Stencil.... don't you just love that texture....
This view also shows the stamping in the background as well.... for all of the stamping I used my favourite script stamp, Darkroom Door's "French Script", everyone should have this fabulous stamp in their stash....

Well that's it from me today, except for a reminder about the Scrapbookit retreat is almost upon us, and I'm so excited that I will be teaching there... If you would like to join us at the last minute contact Jo to get all the details, on 0407058604. It's going to be a great weekend, I hope to see you there.

One today!

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today.

Today I'd like to share a layout I created for Scrap FX using the new number themed  products...
"1 today"

This layout features a photo of my first birthday, complete with a dolly varden ice cream birthday cake!! Just what every one year old should have right? Seriously though, I love this pic of mum and I.

I used the new Numbers Collage Stencil to create my background with modelling paste and loads of Lindy's  Stamp Gang sprays

My title was created by highlighting the '1' that was created from the Numbers Collage Stencil and using the Itty Bitty Bets Typewriter letters...

I really love this Numbers Collage Stencil and the great effects you can achieve using it...

don't you just love these effects from that stencil...

I used the Scribble Circles layered with the new "one" from the new Mini number wordlets to frame the image... and finished the layout off with some flowers and lace...
