Travel Explore Discover

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today... I'd like to share with you the latest layout that I have created, "Travel Explore Discover"

I came across a colour challenge being run by Scrapping Outback which was "White with a Twist"  and it just happened to be my favourite colours... so I couldn't resist scrapping a layout.... This photo was taken while I was in Vietnam, I loved how the detail of the chair came out in the photo and the colour was just perfect for this challenge...

I played with one of the Bloom Girl stencils and some pan pastels to begin my background... then I used some big brush markers and the Darkroom Door mini script stamp for more  background interest...

I added some of my favourite Lindys Stamp Gang sprays to a couple of corners of the layout....

I used the big brush pens to stamp around the edge of the layout... using the pens allows you to stamp in multiple colours at once...

I also used some variegated leaf to add a few metallic highlights on the layout...

Of course I couldn't do a layout without adding some Scrap FX chipboard... "Capture the Moment" mini title coloured up with some gesso and Lindys spray...

and another Scrap FX chippie "So much Fun" coloured with some gelatos to give a bit of an ombre look... then oversprayed with Lindys for some shine...

I added some glass beads and sequins to help finish it off...

Thanks for a fun challenge ... Scrapping Outback...

Let your spirit Soar

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today... I'd like to share with you the latest canvas have I created, playing along with the Lindy's December colour palate....
"Let your spirit SOAR"

So here is the colour palate ....
you can find the challenge here on the Lindy's Stamp Gang blog...

so now onto my canvas....
I created the canvas around one of my favourite pics of Cleopatra... her spirit does truly soar...  I used four out of the five colours from the December limited edition spray set... and I also used four out of the five colours from the December limited edition embossing set...

I used the Midnight Teal, and Desert Moon Turquoise embossing powders on the Scrap FX
I created the background texture using modelling paste and the Scrap FX stencils, Moroccan Tile and Circle Weave....  I then sprayed the background with Opal Sea Oats, T-bird Turquoise, Azure Sea Asters and a small amount of Tibetan Poppy Teal... to finish off I randomly stamped over the canvas with archival ink...

the Prima resin parrot was sprayed with T-bird Turquoise and then rubbed with archival ink...

Midnight Teal embossing powder on the "soar" title...  while it was heated I ran a metal skewer through the embossing powder to show the dual colours of the powder...

on the rest of the title I used both Desert Moon Turquoise and Morning Glory Azure... and again while heating it, ran a skewer through it to show the dual colours...

I used Starbright Gold Green over the Opal Sea Oats spray on the modelling paste and I did the same with the Desert Moon Turquoise over the T-bird Turquoise and Morning Glory Azure over the Azure Sea Asters, to give extra shine to my background...

One final pic of the whole canvas...

You make me Happy

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...and welcome to my third post this month for D-lish Scraps .... Today I'd like to share with you a small canvas I created....
"You make me Happy"

Tigers are my happy place.... and I love this photo from my Tiger experience in Dreamworld...

this flair button from the 'life in boken' set is absolutely perfect for my canvas.
My background was created with the Scrap FX circle weave stencil....

I used one of the 4.5"paper doilies and sprayed it with some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays to match my canvas...

I created a cluster using a medium rose, mini roses,  and a couple of leaves... I used sequins for the flower centres... I also used a little rhinestone heart....

I also used the sequins and rhinestone hearts to decorate the canvas....

As a little bonus I videoed my process of creating this canvas... I hope you enjoy it...

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...and welcome to my second post this month for D-lish Scraps .... Today I'd like to share with you a layout I created... "love"
I created this layout using Kerry's sketch challenge for the current cybercrop.... I found this a big challenge for me as we were limited to using only two printed papers (cardstock is ok)...

I used one of the chocolate coloured paper doilies and coloured it up with a little inka gold... I also used the inka gold to re-colour the Freckled Fawn orange "fun" paperclip to an earthier tone to match the layout...

I created a flower cluster on my layout using..... Vintage Roses, Roses and Cherry Blossoms, along with some white fern leaves  and a Journal it ticket both coloured up with some inka gold....

As I had chosen a chrissy pic for the layout, I selected the Scrap FX "merry christmas" chipboard title and one of the little wood veneer reindeers, both of which were coloured up with more inka gold... Now don't forget Amanda has not long been getting the Scrap FX products and will order things in for you that she doesn't have listed....

So I hope you will come join in on the cybercrop challenges over at The Scrap Suite... you have until next Friday to get them done and maybe win some awesome prizes...

Love for D-lish Scraps

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
Today I'd like to share my latest for D-lish Scraps with you "Love"
I really enjoyed creating the earth tones challenge for the Cyber Crop this weekend, I decided to create another layout in earth tones.... this time I chose to use a couple of my Wedding photo's on a background of a gesso wash and Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays...

I just love all those kraft flowers and vines Amanda now has....  Here I have used a cluster with a fern leaf and daisy flowers from the Kraft Expressions Range, along with a rose from the Vintage Roses Range and a flair button from Script words white set, which I coloured with some alcohol ink...

I also used love wood veneer frame, which I cut the frame off.... and then inked up with some distress ink... I used a quote strip from the Wordfetti everyday moments pack... You can also see more of the Kraft flowers from the Kraft Expressions Range.....

If you look really closely, tucked into these clusters.... you will find a few of the Metal Filigree flower centres, I love metal so couldn't resist adding a couple....
I also used a couple of the Journal it's tickets ....

Once final pic to show off some of my background detail, created with the Scrap FX Petal flower stencil and some texture paste... but you could use any of the Scrap FX stencils to get this effect, as you are just creating random shapes and it's the thickness of the stencil that makes such great texture.... and we mustn't forget the paper doily  I coloured up and  tucked in behind my pics...

Don't forget the cybercrop is on this weekend over at The Scrap Suite, hope to see you all there, with loads of fun, inspiration, challenges and prizes to win...

Born to Ride

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

Today is my turn over on the Scrap FX blog and I'd like to share with you a layout I created with some of the new steampunk releases "Born to Ride"

this months releases were amazing.... loads of awesome steampunk  goodness, just perfect for my Harley pics...

this is a pic of my 100th Anniversary Springer Softail... please excuse my cheesy grin, riding my bike always makes me smile....

For this layout I created my background using the cog stamp with embossing powder under some gesso and plenty of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays... the page edge was created using one of my favourite stencils the random dots stencil ....

I just love, love, love the new steampunk skull collage....
I painted it up with some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.... doesn't it look fabulous...

I couldn't go past this title...."Born to Ride" just perfect for my photo...
and I also used the micro cogs.... I painted them all up with more Lindy's stamp Gang...

The new corner chain collage looks great framing up my photo with the film strip (five frames) is tucked in behind the photo...

I used the Grungy Wing Stencil to create a bit of flame like action.... I just love how versatile this stencil is, it really should be on everyones wishlist....

Las Vegas .... a video tutorial

Hi everyone thanks for joining me here today....

Today I want to share with you all a little video tutorial I have created for Scrap FX.

I wanted to show how a stencil designed for one purpose can be used completely differently, if you just think outside of the box....

P1220214a
So I have gone ahead a made a layout tutorial using the new grungy wing stencil... but as you will see there is not a wing in sight on the completed layout...

P1220216a

P1220217a

Now, just before we get the the video, please bear in mind that this is my first video I am putting out there so I hope you all find it easy to watch..... I have to ask that there is no laughing out loud when you catch glimpses of my hugely fashionable crafting flanno, only smirks and sniggers are acceptable responses...lol... I must remember in future to roll up the sleeves...lol.... but we live and learn....

So now that the spiel is over here it finally is ...

Hope you enjoyed that... I'd love to here your thoughts on it or on what you might like to see as a tutorial in the future....

Memories Album

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...and welcome to my third post this month for D-lish Scraps .... Today I'd like to share with you an album I created to go with the decorative box I shared yesterday....

I started out by making the album covers from chipboard sheets, and covered them with the same 7 dots paper I used on the box... I decorated the album cover in the same fashion as the box with loads of D-lish Scraps metal filigrees and some Scrap FX chipboard pieces.

Here you can also see a lot of the same D-lish Scraps products used on the box.... I used silks to paint up the box and all those gorgeous filigrees...

I used loads of the wonderful D-lish Scraps metal filigrees... I used the six petal flowers - I snipped the petals apart and bent them up to create a layered flower - I used some of the mini metal flowers as centres, I also used the metal butterflies along with the five petal flowers and filigree flower centres, and metal daisies...I also used the epoxy resin seals and some Scrap FX Roman numerals and one of the Birdies...

Here you can see the inside of the album, I used the chevron bags to create pocket pages...  I painted them with a wash of metallic paint... don't they look fantastic...

For the pages I stamped the edges of some cardstock...

And one final pic of the box and album together...

Don't forget the cybercrop this weekend over at The Scrap Suite, hope to see you all there.
